Resolutions are commonly made during the New Year and are meant to make people into better versions of themselves. Despite its good intentions, people are constantly disappointed by the lack of change resolutions bring. T-Squared MedEA lists alternatives to help maintain and achieve goals throughout 2017.
1. Pave good intentions.
While people may not reach their goals, it's important to have the mindset for one. A goal might result in something completely different from what a person has in mind. Preparing for anything lessens any disappointment.
2. Take it one step at a time.
Short term goals are often perceived as more achievable. This means that a person is more likely to complete the goal and make it a success. By breaking down long-term goals, there is a higher rate of success and less stress.
3. Reflect.
Take previous years into consideration to know personal limits. Set a realistic workload in order to make it less likely to give up.
